Short Bio:

Cristina Dolan is an award-winning engineer, author, and entrepreneur, focused on building and growing businesses utilizing data,  blockchain, cyber security, AI, IoT, telematics, and serverless cloud architectures for new digitally transformative fintech, insurtech, and mobility offerings.  She is a Co-Founder of Additum, an award-winning European ‘Value Based Healthcare’ utilizing reward tokens to improve patient outcomes.  iXLedger, was an early blockchain-enabled insurance marketplace, which she co-founded, that initially offered blockchain insurance.  In addition to being an MIT Media Lab alumna, engineer, and Internet pioneer, she has over two decades of experience building transformational businesses and products from fintech, insurtech, media, telecom, and healthtech. She was a co-founder of OneMain.com, which grew to be the 10th largest ISP after a successful IPO (Acquired by Earthlink). She is a cybersecurity executive at RSA Security Netwitness and the LATAM Managing Director and Head of Americas Channel and Global Alliances. Formerly, Ms. Dolan held executive roles at Disney, Hearst, IBM, and Oracle.  She is a member of the Forbes Technology Council, the former President of the MIT Club of New York, and the former Chair of the MIT Enterprise Forum in New York, where she hosted several blockchain and fintech events with industry leaders. The award-winning student competition she founded, Dream it. Code it. Win it., was the subject of her TEDx Talk, Just Solve It.  She earned a Master of Science Degree from the MIT Media Lab and holds a Master of Computer Science and Bachelor of Electrical Engineering with concentrations in Computer Science, Data Communications, and Business.

The book she recently co-authored, ‘Transparency in ESG and the Sustainable Economy, Capturing Opportunities through Data‘ was published in 2021.  She also co-authored: ‘Cybersecurity is an environmental, social and governance issue‘ which was published by the World Economic Forum.

Cristina Dolan is an award winning engineer, author, and entrepreneur, focused on building and growing businesses utilizing data,  blockchain, cyber security, AI, IoT, telematics, and serverless cloud for new digitally transformative fintech, insurtech, and mobility offerings.  She is a Co-Founder of Additum, an award-winning European Value-Based Healthcare ecosystem utilizing tokens to motivate patient outcomes. iXLedger, was an early blockchain-enabled cyber insurance marketplace, which she co-founded, that initially offered blockchain insurance. She is a cybersecurity executive at RSA Security Netwitness and the LATAM Managing Director and Head of Americas Channel and Global Alliances.  As a former executive at a software company offering an award-winning SaaS global multi-asset institutional trading platform, she is applying her knowledge of traditional marketplaces to the creation of next-generation blockchain-enabled marketplaces in combination with advanced technologies through digital transformation to create efficiencies and opportunities.

Internet Pioneer and MIT Media Lab alumna, Cristina, co-founded OneMain, which grew to be the 10 largest Internet Service Provider. The company was later acquired by Earthlink after a highly successful initial public offering. At Hearst and Disney, she headed up technology and built the first consumer internet websites. In addition to executive roles at IBM and Oracle bringing new products to market, Cristina was CEO of venture-backed MIT Artificial Intelligence spinoff Wordstream.

As an engineer, computer scientist, futurist, and solutionist, Cristina appreciates the value of applying engineering skills to problem-solving, which was the topic of her TEDx talk “Just Solve It”. In 2013 she launched the global student competition “Dream it. Code it. Win it.” which has been honored with; a Trader Magazine Charitable Contribution Award, an MIT Harold E. Lobdell Distinguished Service Award, and four Stevie Awards for Best Organization, Best Female Innovator and Best Executive of the Year. Formerly, Cristina served as the MIT Enterprise Forum of NYC Chair and the MIT Club of New York President.

Cristina earned a Master’s Degree from the MIT Media Lab and holds a Master of Computer Science and a Bachelor of Electrical Engineering with concentrations in Computer Science, Data Communications, and Business. She was a member of the US Bobsled and Skeleton team and earned first place in the US Nationals and Empire State Games.  She placed second for women at the Skeleton World Cup Championship.
